A member of staff from your son/daughter’s school will contact you to discuss the referral reasons prior to submitting the referral to SPICE. If you support the referral, you will:

• be contacted by a SPICE Project Officer to discuss with you the preferred types of work that your son/daughter has chosen for work experience and to discuss transportation to the placement; and 
• attend a meeting between the business representative, your son/daughter and the Project Officer to sign an agreement giving permission for your son/daughter to undertake work experience at that business.

Once an agreement has been signed, a commitment has been undertaken by all parties to complete the WEX placement.

If you think your son/daughter might benefit from participating in the SPICE Program, you should discuss a possible referral with the SPICE contact at your school.
