Bridge To Volunteering

Bridge to Volunteering is a short computer-based session to familiarise prospective volunteers with the concepts of volunteering today. This twenty minute session is recommended for those volunteering for the first time or those seeking new volunteer experiences.

Skills Training for Volunteers

This course covers:

• A New Look at Volunteering – an introduction to the concepts of volunteering and working with an agency
• Caring for Self and Others – enhances the participants’ interpersonal skills
• Solving Problems and Resolving Conflict – opportunities for participants to learn, practise and use a range of problem-solving and crisis management strategies
• Rights and Responsibilities
• Boundaries
• Ethics
• Confidentiality

The course or its components are offered on demand. Individual elements of this course can be selected and used as a basis for your own required training.
