About Connections

The Connections Program has celebrated 17 years of service in the Canberra community in 2012. The Program is currently funded by the ACT Health Directorate and managed by Volunteering ACT.

Its ongoing success is the result of the commitment of dedicated volunteers within our community who provide one-to-one social support to people with a mental illness.

Together our volunteers and buddies engage in conversations and share many laughs together while participating in social activities such as:

- A casual walk around the lake

- Visiting the local community art centre

- Attending a community event or workshop

- Participating in community social acitivities

- Catching up for a coffee
